Managed IT, demystified
Plain-English answers. No jargon, no small print.
We take care of the day-to-day running, monitoring and improvement of your IT, across cloud, connectivity, modern workplace and security. That typically means proactive monitoring of your estate, responsive support for your people, regular maintenance and patching, and ongoing advice on where to invest next. We tailor the scope to what your organisation actually needs rather than selling a fixed package.
We're not just problem-solvers, we're strategic technology partners. With enterprise-grade expertise, a proactive approach to infrastructure management and deep specialisation in complex environments, we help organisations scale confidently. Our 24×7 operations centres, certified engineers and focus on business continuity set us apart from typical break-fix providers. We understand the critical nature of operations in regulated sectors and deliver solutions with minimal disruption.
No. We're vendor-independent, which means we recommend the technology that's right for you, not the one that's most convenient for us to sell. We work across Microsoft, AWS, Oracle and a wide range of connectivity and security partners, so our advice stays genuinely impartial.
We're based at Stafford Technology Park in the heart of the Midlands, with excellent connectivity to Birmingham, Manchester, London and the wider region. Our remote support and operations centres mean we can support clients anywhere, and for on-site work our field engineers and trusted contractors cover the whole of the UK.
We bring deep expertise to demanding, highly regulated sectors including healthcare, veterinary and manufacturing. We've delivered for organisations including the NHS, Active Care Group and CVS in healthcare, and Churchill China, ABP and Lonestar Fasteners in manufacturing. Our understanding of how operational technology and IT come together makes us especially well suited to industrial and clinical environments, though our engineering principles apply well beyond any one sector.
Our sweet spot is organisations with 500 or more employees, though we work with businesses both smaller and larger depending on their complexity. We're particularly well suited to healthcare, veterinary and manufacturing organisations, those running critical clinical or production systems, multi-site operations, and anyone with complex infrastructure that needs genuine expertise rather than basic support.
Our Network and Cloud Operations Centres provide 24×7×365 monitoring and support for infrastructure and critical systems. Our Service Desk operates during core business hours, with extended and out-of-hours cover available for clients on enhanced SLAs. For clients with operational needs outside standard hours, such as manufacturers running shift patterns, we provide tailored support packages to match your schedule.
Most support tickets are acknowledged within 15 minutes during business hours. For business-critical issues we aim for immediate response and same-day resolution wherever possible. Because our operations centres monitor your estate continuously with automated alerting, many issues are identified and resolved before they affect your operations. Specific commitments are defined in your SLA based on priority and business impact.
Onboarding begins with a comprehensive infrastructure audit and discovery phase. We document your current environment, identify immediate risks and opportunities, and create a clear technical roadmap. We then put monitoring in place, establish secure remote access, configure backups and integrate with your existing tools. We work closely with your team throughout to minimise disruption and transfer knowledge. Most onboardings complete within two to four weeks depending on complexity.
Both. The majority of support and project work is delivered remotely for speed and efficiency, but for hardware installations, network deployments, on-site troubleshooting and planned projects, our field engineers and nationwide network of trusted contractors are available across the UK. We can typically be on-site within hours for urgent situations, with planned visits scheduled to suit your operations.
Both. Our core business is ongoing managed services and round-the-clock monitoring, but we also deliver fixed-scope projects such as network upgrades, ERP migrations, cloud migrations, infrastructure refreshes and connectivity deployments. Many clients engage us for a specific project first, then move to managed services once they've seen the value of proactive support.
That's common, and we work well alongside in-house teams. We can take on the heavy lifting, such as 24×7 monitoring, out-of-hours cover, specialist projects or extra capacity, so your team can focus on the work that adds the most value. We see ourselves as an extension of your team, not a replacement for it.
Absolutely. We specialise in supporting distributed workforces with secure cloud-based infrastructure, Azure Virtual Desktop, VPN solutions, conditional access policies and mobile device management. We help organisations enable flexible working while maintaining security, compliance and productivity, including hybrid setups where some people work on-premise and others remotely with seamless access to applications and data.
We support Windows and Linux server environments, Windows and macOS workstations, and Android and iOS mobile devices. For networking we're experts in Cisco, Cisco Meraki, Fortinet FortiGate, Ubiquiti UniFi and Aruba. On software we cover Microsoft 365, Azure, Microsoft server products, Epicor ERP, mainstream business applications such as Adobe and Google Workspace, and industry-specific software. Our engineers hold certifications across these platforms.
Yes. Cloud migration is one of our core strengths. We help organisations move to Azure, AWS, hybrid or private cloud in a way that's secure, well-planned and right-sized. That includes Microsoft 365 migrations, Azure Virtual Desktop, SQL database migrations to Azure SQL Managed Instance and application hosting. Our approach uses thorough planning, risk assessment, pilot migrations and phased rollouts to minimise disruption. Because we're vendor-independent, we recommend the platform that genuinely suits you.
Yes. We provide leased lines, full fibre broadband, 4G and 5G backup connections, Starlink satellite internet for remote sites, SD-WAN for multi-site connectivity and emergency connectivity solutions. As an authorised Starlink installer with experienced engineers, we can bring connectivity to locations with no traditional options. We manage the whole process from supplier selection and procurement through to installation, configuration and ongoing monitoring.
Yes. We design and implement backup and disaster recovery tailored to your recovery objectives, including on-premise backup, cloud backup to Azure, hybrid strategies, business continuity planning, recovery testing and documented procedures. We monitor backups continuously, test them regularly and align them to your Recovery Time Objective and Recovery Point Objective.
Security is built into everything we do rather than bolted on afterwards. We use defence-in-depth: next-generation firewalls with intrusion prevention, endpoint protection with advanced threat detection, multi-factor authentication, network segmentation, regular patching, vulnerability scanning, SIEM and robust backups. Our operations centres monitor security events around the clock for rapid detection and response, and all remote access is secured with conditional access and encryption.
We maintain rigorous security standards and work to industry best practice aligned with the ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials frameworks. We focus on delivering genuine enterprise-grade security rather than collecting certifications for their own sake, and we're happy to share detail on our controls, policies and procedures during onboarding. Many clients have their own compliance requirements and we're experienced in working within them.
We take GDPR seriously. When we access your systems we operate under data processing agreements that clearly define our role and responsibilities. We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures including encryption, access controls, audit logging and secure data handling, and our team receives regular data-protection training. We're happy to work with your Data Protection Officer or compliance team to ensure alignment with your requirements.
We have documented incident response procedures that begin the moment a security event is detected. Our team contains the threat, assesses the impact, preserves evidence, notifies the relevant people, implements remediation and carries out post-incident analysis. We work with you to understand what happened and prevent recurrence, and for serious incidents we can coordinate with external forensics specialists, legal advisors and regulators. Our priority is always to minimise impact and restore secure operations quickly.
We offer flexible pricing to suit different needs. Managed services are typically a fixed monthly retainer for predictable costs and support within an agreed scope. Project work is quoted as fixed-price deliverables with clear milestones. Monitoring is priced on the number of devices, the complexity of your environment and the service levels you need. Quotations are transparent and itemised, with no hidden costs, and third-party costs such as licences, connectivity and hardware are passed through at cost with no markup.
For managed services we typically start with a 12-month initial term, giving both sides time to build a strong working relationship and see the value. After that, agreements usually move to a three-year term with 90 days' notice. We'd rather earn your business through excellent service than lock you into long commitments. Project work is delivered to fixed scopes and timelines with payment milestones aligned to deliverables.
Yes, we do this regularly. We manage the whole handover professionally and methodically, including knowledge-transfer sessions with your outgoing provider, documentation review, a systems audit, user interviews and a phased transition plan that minimises disruption. We aim for a smooth changeover where your users barely notice the difference, except for the improvement in service quality.
It starts with a conversation. Get in touch via our contact form, email or phone and we'll arrange a no-obligation discovery call to understand your needs, challenges and objectives. From there we can carry out an initial assessment, provide a tailored proposal and map out how we'd work together. The whole process is straightforward, jargon-free and focused on whether we're a good fit for each other.
